1989 - High School Project
I have loved photography since I was in high school. I received an SLR camera for my 16th birthday! I always wanted to be a National Geographic photographer. Then life got in the way and instead of my career, it became my hobby. I have continued to take photographs and have had many people tell me that I should take my passion and turn it into my career.
I love to capture life as it happens. I have a very casual style and while taking photos I like to capture the candid shots that show the love and laughter of life within each family and between friends. I want people to remember the feelings they had at the time of life the photos were taken. The happiness felt during times with family and friends is something that can't be taken away and photographs can help bring those feelings back! A comment made on my family blog was perfect in describing my type of photography:
"What I love is that you seem to have your camera permanently attached to some part of your body. You take pictures at the most inconvenient times! It's awesome!"
My goal is to capture lasting memories of wonderful emotions to be remembered through all time as well as a way to leave a record for future generations to know those who laid the foundation for their lives!!
